My wife and I came to Restoration Refuge after a series of personal crises in our family and church. Here in the Arizona desert we found caring people aware of the challenges and disappointments of ministry who had already been praying for us before we arrived. There are many opportunities for spiritual renewal at the Refuge, but no program is forced upon its visitors. Instead, we were encouraged to relax, to re-connect with God and enjoy God’s love for us. Some of my time I spent alone - praying, walking, reading, reflecting, and just relaxing in the sun enjoying God’s presence under the Arizona sun. Other times included faith-sharing and laughter over delicious home cooked meals, heart-felt Bible-based worship with members of the community, and just having fun. I appreciated the healing opportunity to share my story with people like Steve and Suzie who truly know how to listen. Restoration Refuge proves that the desert can indeed be a place of blessing.

My wife and I had the opportunity the stay for a week at Restoration Refuge. The Lord truly led us to a place of restoration in our life. The quiet and the incredible scenery from the front porch was the perfect place to spend time with the Lord and allow Him to restore us. The housing, hosts and the food were excellent. We felt right at home.
